ROAD TO COMICPALOOZA 2014: A Quick Guide To SCN-Related Con Events

With Comicpalooza fast approaching, the team at Space City Nerd will gear up for this huge weekend! Aside from on-location interviews with convention guests, we will bring you on the scene reporting, pictures and even video! Here’s a quick teaser on what’s going on!

On Saturday, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, Space City Nerd will host a panel in the kid’s room. We will teach the kids to harness their independent thought and creativity by helping them create zines of their own. We will go over the history of zines and give examples of industry leaders that have found success through zines. Then we will go over the basics of podcasting and promoting your content throughout the web. We will walk them through how to create a zine and podcasts. Personally, we cannot wait to read some of these issues.

When the convention closes down for the evening, are you going to head home? How about you join us at the Tri-Force parties! Along with our friends at Warlock’s Beers and Games, we are throwing three nights of epic parties. On Friday, we will party it up at 1820 LoungeSaturday night, we’re moving the festivities to Neil’s Bahr. The final party on Sunday will take place at the Hilton Hospitality Suite! These amazing parties are free and open to 21 and up only! Check out our Facebook page for more information. You’ll need to RSVP for the Sunday party, so sign up at the Eventbrite page!

On Monday, May 26, Memorial Day, Comicpalooza will provide US Military Veterans free admission! Make sure to bring your proof of service and get ready to enjoy the con!
